South LA Students Unite School through Calendar

Tech Academy students are promoting the use of their school’s online calendar to connect students, faculty and staff.

Los Angeles (March 4,2015) --- Students from the Technology Academy at Foshay Learning Center are hosting a community fair. The community fair is aimed to help improve the school and the community on various aspects such as organization skills, goal setting, and public speaking.

 

On March 24th, 2015 the students will hold the community fair at Foshay where they will be promoting their new and updated school’s calendar: Foshay Calendar. After much concern about the lack of information the former calendar contained, a group of students decided to make a change and completely redesign the calendar and make it so that it is more interactive and proactive for all students, faculty, and staff.

 

The campaign will be collaborative to create the “Tech Academy Community Fair” awareness fair along with Foshay Buddies, Shake a Goal, FLC Cleanup, Inner Beauty, Speak it Out, and Coding Girls. The awareness fair will be in the school’s Miami Room.

 

As an educational institute with striving, aspiring and hard-working students dedicated to achieve a college degree, it is extremely important that they have access to the school’s calendar with information pertaining to school activities, clubs, deadlines and most importantly, allows them to be organized, a skill that is essential to have as an aspiring college student.
